JOINT STATEMENT BETWEEN ROYAL MAIL AND THE CWU REGARDING COMPACT LARGE LETTER & LETTER SORTER (CLLLS) – UPDATE
Dear Colleagues
Branches and representatives will be aware that LTB 061/17 shared the Terms of Reference between Royal Mail and the CWU Covering the Installation and Deployment of a Compact Large Letter & Letter Sorter (CLLLS) at Exeter Mail Centre, which had been agreed to enable pilot activity to take place.
The pilot has now concluded and following the agreed review of the activity the attached Joint Statement has been agreed to communicate the outcome and next steps.
Colleagues will note that at this stage the business has decided that it will not be their intention to proceed with the purchase of further CLLLS machines and that the pilot machine that was based at Exeter MC will now be relocated to NWMMC.
