FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

It is deepest regret that we inform you that postal worker and CWU member David Stancombe from Southport Delivery Office lost his beautiful daughter Elsie Dot in the evil and appalling attack in the town on Monday 29^th July.

The CWU and Royal Mail are doing everything possible to support our member and his family at this heartbreaking time.

At this moment we send all of our love and thoughts to David, his family and everyone impacted by this horrific act. To witness David and his family calling for calm and peace even in the midst of their own grief is inspiring, emotional and an example to all.

We know the whole union and wider movement will want to pay respects and we will work with the family, our region and division to ensure this happens at the appropriate time.
