Roles & Responsibilities
CHAIR
- To Chair meetings of the national CWU Young Workers committee and National Young Workers Conference.
- To represent the CWU Young Workers at meetings of the NEC
- To work with Head Office to progress CWU Young Worker business.
- To Chair the CWU Young Workers Conference.
- To take a leading role at the National Young Workers Education Event.
- To undertake such training as maybe necessary and available to fulfil these duties.
- To attend meetings of the appropriate Industrial Executive
VICE CHAIR
- To work with and substitute for the CWU Young Workers Committee Chair in pursuit of the Chair’s responsibilities.
- To undertake such training as maybe necessary and available to fulfil these duties.
- To attend meetings of the appropriate Industrial Executive
COMMITTEE MEMBERS
- To attend and contribute to the four scheduled meetings of the Committee, the National Young Workers Education Event, The Branch Young Workers Reps Forum, National Young Workers Conference and Induction Course.
- To maintain contact with CWU Head Office including advising of any problems discharging their responsibilities.
- To respond to requests for information and comment from CWU Head Office.
- To act as the CWU Young Workers contact point for a specified Regional Young Workers Committee
- To produce a minimum of one Blog or News Story for a month.
- To attempt to secure release in good time from their employer in pursuance of their responsibilities.
