Martin Walsh

As deputy general secretary postal, Martin is the senior national officer for over 100,000 hard-working CWU postal workers.

Martin was first elected as a union rep when he worked at Victoria Delivery Office in south west back in 1991.

He became active within the London division of the union and went on to serve as London divisional representative for several years. In 2019, Martin was elected onto the union’s postal executive and was elected to be the deputy general secretary postal (DGSP) in 2023.
